Purchasing "PKF Sirius" springs the Customer can check their quality at any time considering the following information:
- free height of springs in a set can have a maximum of 5 mm difference;
- there must be the same deflection rate marking on springs of a set;
- springs must be regularly shaped; all coils of a spring when turned must touch plane surface, a gap for one coil not exceeding 4 mm in size;
- gap size between the threshold of a bearing coil and the next operational coil must be 6 to 10 mm depending on automobile model.
Mounting instructions.
- Mounting of springs of different standard classes for one axle is forbidden;
- Mounting of Standard type rear suspension springs is allowed on condition that front suspension springs are those of Standard Plus type; no reverse order is allowed;
Comments: division into two classes, i.e. Standard and Standard Plus type, is aimed to minify the difference of spring length for left and right sides of a vehicle. The latter has a bad effect on a vehicle's roadability and car handling and can cause a vehicle's distortion relative to its axis.
